Father Howard Keon

 

Born in Haileybury Ont, he inlisted in the RCAF on Aug. 14 1942. After almost 2 years training he joined the No.90 Squadron in September 1944. Between Oct 1944 and Jan. 1945 flew 30 sorties as navigator. After the war he attended university (B.Sc Aeronautical Engineering) Instructed there (1947-48) then joined the Institute of Aviation Medicine, Stationed Toronto (1948-49), developing indirect red lighting for aircraft. Rejoined the RCAF in July 1949. Following a brief service at RCAF technical training school at Camp Borden and Aylmer Ont. he joined staff of Central Experimental and Proving Establishment, Rockcliffe, 1951 working there for one year on the CF_100 development. He left the service in 1952 and commenced religious studies at St. Michael's College Toronto. Moving to Lethbridge in 1960 to teach physics at St. Francis Boys school. In 1964 it became Catholic Central High School and he continued to teach until 1974. Resides in  Lethbridge today.
